Krave was a warehouse in an industrial area, seemingly innocuous except for the parking lot full of cars in the middle of a Saturday night.

And the bass you could hear thumping through the walls as you approached the building. Also that.

A bunch of Nephilim and a totally normal human go to a nightclub! What could go wrong? )

The portal dropped them off at the end of a long driveway leading up to an unnecessarily large mansion with a
large detached garage off to one side. A tall, pale blond ice prince of a male was waiting for them by the mailbox.

"Miss Finch," Alastair said with a slight inclination of his head. "Welcome to Echo Bay."

"Al's gotta adjust the wards to let you in," Raiden explained.

"It shouldn't take more than a moment," Alastair assured her. Sure, Jane had proven slightly complicated, but Jane was a god. Arden was just a garden variety human, right? "If I may?" he asked, and extended his hand in an invitation for Arden to grasp it.

"Hey, why is my car parked outside?" Raiden wanted to know.

Raiden and Gray had decided that they should at least do a sweep for demonic activity while they were in a new city, but eventually, Raiden had gotten hungry and decided to go get burgers, while Gray had kept patrolling while he was wide awake to do so. He was somehow unsurprised when he heard a rather distinctive heavy landing behind him not five minutes after Raiden left. He was still shoving all the fear down into a box when Lazarus said, "You are not where you are supposed to be." And then, baffled, "The entire island is not where it is supposed to be."

Gray had woken up that morning in his dorm room, stretched, and reached out mentally for the orange thread of his connection to Raiden to see if he was up yet and willing to make him waffles, only to find a second thread, a second brother nearby...and this thread was so dark a grey it was nearly black.

He had then gone tearing out of the dorm without so much as bothering to put on shoes, and a few minutes later he barged into Raiden's apartment to find him working away in the kitchen, chattering as he attempted to update their visitor on the last several centuries of family events, and--

"Kallias!"
napking: (hoodie lyfe)
Gray shuffled downstairs, intent on conning Raiden into making him waffles--he could feel him still in the kitchen, along with a weird number of their brothers for this late in the morning--and stopped dead in the entrance to said kitchen.

Castor snatched a set of gold-toned measuring spoons out of Raiden's hand and said, "I should--we should keep these." He slipped them into his pocket, and Bellamy rolled his eyes and took them back out.

"They're not made out of real gold, Cas."

"I know that! We'll just need measuring spoons!"

Uh, guys... )
